My Story
Salut! Hi! Moi, c'est Laureen...
I’m from a small town in the South of France called Nîmes. It’s a beautiful city where you can find a lot of Roman remains, tasty French food, great wines and this South of France sound the cicadas make.
After I graduated, I moved to London and soon opened my own business, teaching big companies such as LVMH and helping many teenagers and young adults pass their exams in French. I loved every minute of my life in London.
Recently I moved to Canada after many years spent in London. I stayed two years teaching government employees.
I am now based in the lovely French Pyrénées and teaching students from the UK, France, Canada and the USA.

My courses are focused on making you speak French as much as possible. Each lesson, no matter your level, will start with a chat. Like two friends chatting around a glass of wine or coffee. I created a method based on my experience of learning another language and my 8 years of teaching. I know the struggle it represents but I know how to make it fun. All curriculums are available online and in person.

So far, I have helped individuals to speak French for travel purposes, children with their homework, bilingual families, young students to enter prestigious schools such as Cambridge and Oxford and big companies such as LVMH. My goal is to give you the tools to handle yourself in any situation you might find yourself abroad or at work.
Genuine interest in you...
I believe a core part of learning is through your relationship with your teacher, hence why I'm genuinely interested in getting to know you further. To start us off, here are a few things about myself: I love listening to music, hiking, writing and immerse in new cultures when travelling. Obviously, this goes without saying, I love red wine!
What courses do I offer?
My experience working with kids in primary schools and tutoring young ones with their homework allowed me to create an efficient and fun course for young people from age 5. Course for young kids are built to encourage them to speak as much as possible. I use games, role-plays, music and videos.
I also tutor for homework help and school entrance exams. So far, I have helped students enter Cambridge and Oxford, among others.
Based on the CEFR levels requirements, I created three different courses designed to help you achieve levels A2 to C2. My method is focused on boosting your confidence and improving your speaking skills along with your understanding and writing skills. However, each person is different and your main goal might differ. This is why each course is tailored to your needs.
Each course includes a weekly Whatsapp exchange with myself to keep you motivated and make you use your French outside of our lessons and also covers culture.
This course is designed to make you ready for your next expatriation or your next business meetings in French.
You will learn vocabulary related to your industry and work environment and speak French at work. Even though, I have a course for Business French, this will be tailored to your specific industry and needs. So far, I have worked with companies such as LVMH, Chanel and Dior and more.
Not only will you be able to work in French, you will be confident and proud to do so.
A relaxed chat around a cup of coffee or a glass of wine. More than that, I will boost your confidence and find interesting topics to discuss, whether you choose the private classes or online groups. The course includes weekly Whatsapp exchanges.
